Who it helps.
Readers, learners and families looking for library services and community activities.
The library network offers collections, reading clubs, learning activities and places to read. A free personal library card gives access to services across Barcelona’s public libraries and the wider Catalan network.
Your next steps.
- 01
Find a nearby library and check its current opening hours.
- 02
Apply for a card online and choose the branch where you will collect it.
- 03
Read the requirements for your situation, including parental authorisation for children under 14.
Your library card is personal. Follow the branch’s collection and identification instructions; activities may require separate booking.
