About this guide
Does this site read our WhatsApp group, and what does it keep about me?
No. This site is not connected to any WhatsApp group. It cannot see your group, it cannot read your messages, and no group message is copied into it. Nobody who runs this site can see what you write in a chat.
Does this apply to me
Everyone reading. You do not need an account. There is no sign-in for readers, no name, no phone number and no email. The site never asks who you are, so it does not know your immigration status.
What it costs
Free, and free of your details. No account, no registration, no payment, and no contact details of any kind.
What to bring
Nothing. Open a page and read it.
Where to go
The full statement is on the About page of this site, under “Your contributions. Your choice.” Everything here is the short version of it.
How long it takes
Nothing to wait for and nothing to sign.
What happens next, and what is actually kept
If you only read, nothing that identifies you is kept. The search box on the FAQ page works inside your own phone; what you type there is never sent anywhere.
If you send a suggested edit, the site keeps:
- the text you typed
- the reason you gave
- the source link you pasted
- the time it arrived
- the review status — whether an admin has read it, when they resolved it, and any note they left
It keeps no name, phone number or email, because it never asks for one.
To stop one person flooding the form, the site never writes your internet address down: it stores a scrambled code made from that address and today’s date, and counts how many suggestions arrive under that code. That code is not a perfect disguise — somebody holding it, with the right tools, could work back to the address — but the address itself is never saved, and the codes are deleted after two days. The deletion happens the next time somebody sends a suggestion, so a quiet spell can leave them longer.
Ask Juan works two ways:
- The page finder — runs in your browser.
- AI mode (optional) — if you switch it on, your question and the recent turns of that conversation are sent to Z.ai to write the reply. This site does not save your Ask Juan chat. Z.ai handles the message under its own terms, and we cannot promise on their behalf that they keep nothing.
The company that hosts this site keeps ordinary access logs, as every website host does.
What goes wrong
The edit form is public writing, not a private message. Anything you type in it can end up published in the answer for everyone to read. Do not paste:
- a passport number
- a NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero, the foreigner identification number) or TIE (Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero, the foreigner identity card) number
- a payslip
- a contract
- a medical letter
- a private conversation
- somebody else’s name, address or phone number
Once something is published and screenshotted, no deletion can pull it back. Write about the procedure, not about your case.

| Rate limit | A cap on how many times something can be sent in an hour |
| Access log | The ordinary record a web host keeps of pages served |
| AI mode | The optional setting in Ask Juan that sends your question to an outside AI service |

- This answer is wrong. How do I get it fixed? — what happens to the words you send, and the one thing that gets a change published.
- Where do I get free legal advice on immigration, arraigo or family reunification? — because a website is not advice about your own case, and SAIER is free.
Official source
This site’s own About page, sections “Your contributions.
